I recently read an article on FastCompany.com’s website illustrating the trends of Twitter and YouTube. The article was quite interesting and you should give it a read.
The entire article was a golden nugget filled with information that can be very useful to your business if you understand how to apply it. The one part of the article that I found to be the most important to the astute Christianpreneur is this:
Twitter is turning into a tool for spreading information, videos and imagery of topical stuff–hence Michael Jackson’s in Twitter’s list too–but it’s being exploited in a far more serious manner than the frivolity of YouTube.

Twitter allows you to see what is topical to your niche (on a day to day, sometimes even hourly basis). This information is powerful because you can create a marketing message that aligns with what your market is talking about or the most pressing issue going on in the world. Be it Tiger Wood’s infidelity or the anniversary of a significant world event – tying current world events to your marketing allows you, the marketer, to connect to your customer, clients, and patients. In fact, Twitter allows you to do so instantly, in real time. You can use videos, article, sales promotions, etc to tie current events to your business endeavors.
