In my search of products and solutions that will benefit ministries I found The Jing Project. This is actually a really cool application that is absolutely free! I see this application to be an excellent tool to be used for training new volunteers in your video, audio, and multimedia departments.
“What does it do?” you ask. Ok ok ok. Simply…it is a desktop recording application. It can capture images, video, and audio of what you see on your desktop. Imagine the possibilities! It is a live recording that can capture your movements on your desktop so that you can explain exactly how to do something. You can create complete tutorials of Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier, Photoshop, audio editing software, etc to train a single person or groups. In fact, the most powerful aspect of this application is that the video that you capture isn’t stored on your personal computer but on the servers provided by The Jing Project (up to 2 Gigs). So this means that you can teach at anytime and anywhere.
